Liz Kretschmer
BPD Specialist
BA Psychology, BM Vocal Performance
Trauma-Informed Behavior Specialist (BPD)
Hi! My name is Liz, from Emotional Care Academy LLC. I have been a content creator since 2021. I started making content about BPD awareness and healing from traumatic experiences through skits as a way to process and heal, and very quickly my content went viral and I realized how many other people out there related to my journey. I became a public advocate for Borderline Personality Disorder healing and the remission of symptoms and common issues that BPD entails.
I graduated from West Chester University in 2015 with a dual degree in Psychology and Vocal Performance, where I got most of my teaching and mentorship experience through various jobs and training programs. In 2024, I worked as a Behavior Specialist and Direct Support Professional under a licensed therapist for adults with Autism and other disabilities, where I received extensive practice and training in behavioral psychology services, human rights, trauma and abuse prevention, and person-centered therapies. I realized while going through this training that high-risk and self-injurious behaviors are also present in BPD, and the Crisis Intervention training I went through is something that ALL humans can benefit from learning, especially those with serious emotional or behavioral disorders.
Today, I continue making content to spread awareness, give hope for healing, and reach people outside of the traditional therapy office. I offer peer-based coaching and courses (coming soon!) to help those who are struggling with the symptoms of BPD find balance, peace, and self-acceptance.
